• Lateral thinker with outcome-oriented approach to architecture enabled value creation
• Rounded architecture experience including some or all aspects of enterprise change programmes in terms of profession and technology (programme design & management, transformation, IS&T strategy, infrastructure and networking, applications, security, BI, content management, service provision, programme and technology governance etc)
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to present logical, convincing, reasoned arguments and influence stakeholders
• Demonstrates and maintains a broad knowledge of technology solutions, current trends and techniques and actively communicates new technology developments.

Desirable qualifications, experience, knowledge:
• Minimum level of TOGAF 9 or Open Group certification is desirable but not imperative

Able to write clear technical documentation to support the delivery of a software project, you will be competent with relational databases and have working knowledge of SQL Server. Candidates who have knowledge of UML are highly desirable, however this is not essential.

You will be required to design, write code, complete programming, develop and execute testing and debugging routines, document work and collaborate with SW and HW architects.

In order to be competent in this environment will need experience in the following areas:

• Proficiency in high level programming languages (C, C++,Java)
• Proficiency in and ability to learn new assembly languages (ARM, x86, SH8)

and also be able to demonstrate knowledge / experience in the following areas:

• Main networks protocols (FC, Ethernet, ..)
• PCIe gen 2.0 and gen 3.0 specification and driver programming
• SSD device, usage and problems

Experience of one or more of the following would be advantageous:

• Board Management Firmware
• BIOS/Option ROM/UEFI
• SSD Firmware including command parsing, FTL and wear levelling
• Knowledge of scripting languages – eg bash, perl, python, etc.
