Chief Inspector required for busy sub contract Engineering Company.

You will need to have experience in Aerospace Tooling, i.e Jigs, Fixtures, and general engineering practices.

A good working knowledge of ISO 9001 would be preferred and a working knowledge of AS9100 Rev C is a distinct advantage.

CMM experience is essential, preferably PC Demis.

Training will be provided.

Our client is a global manufacturer/ distributor of customised tooling and a market leader of index able inserts for the metal industry.  Able to offer a complete range of tooling, coating and optimisation guidance in addition to its unique RE-NEW™ regrinding service.

They are now looking for Sales Engineers to join their team.

As a Sales Engineer your key responsibilities will be as follows:

- You will continue to develop profitable business from existing accounts, promoting our clients brand
- Target new customer and business opportunities
- Using your engineer and product knowledge, you will advise and support customers in finding the right tooling products and efficiently resolve their tooling application problems
- Prepare quotes and maintain regular contact with existing client on order status
- Independently manage your diary, arranging and attending appointments
- Actively target new customers and business opportunities within the territory, with a strong emphasis towards the aerospace market, therefore some knowledge of this sector would be an advantage

The experience and skills required to be successful in the role of Sales Engineer:

- Previous experience of working within the cutting tool industry successfully managing a sales territory or alternatively from a relevant technical production role, seeking a move into sales
- Been driven to succeed in the role
- Possess a high degree of self-management with previous experience of working independently.
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be able to demonstrate a high level of negotiation skills
- A full UK Driving Licence is essential for the role

 

The successful candidates will receive a salary ranging from £38k-£44k depending on experience. They will also receive a company car, iPad, iPhone, laptop, broadband, monthly profit share, group pension and life cover.  You will have support from their experienced production and internal sales staff based at their modern production facility.

On behalf of our client we are looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Estimator.

A privately owned company providing specialist precision engineered Sheet Metal Fabrication for the Aerospace, Nuclear and Pharmaceutical, and Food industry sectors. Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit an experienced Estimator from an engineering background who will be responsible for the day to day running of the manufacturing operations and shop floor processes, liaising with clients and providing estimates/quotations of jobs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Direct control of the day to day manufacturing, stores and quality department
Estimating and Production planning
Negotiating with suppliers and third party providers
Monitor stores output and activity
Monitor production levels and liaise with management team
Purchase and maintenance of materials and equipment
Maintain and promote Health and Safety awareness

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a sheet metal /fabrication environment with a strong personality and able to work well under pressure.
