They are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join and help lead the IT team and ensure the reliable and efficient operation of their in house information systems. Your responsibilities will cover the maintenance, monitoring, support and upgrade/migration planning of all networked software, systems and associated operating systems; you will also attend constant business prioritisation meetings and regularly research the market to positively support the optimisation of IT systems investments. Other responsibilities will include; proposing new system design concepts and direction to the business, systems and development teams, the review and advancement of the company’s continuity and disaster recovery procedures, maintenance of documentation relating to the system structure, and providing training and guidance to junior members of the infrastructure team. There will also be on call responsibilities in conduction with the rest of the team during non-working hours, weekends and bank holidays if required.

This role is largely focused on technology in VMware and networking, therefore VMware VCP and Cisco CCNA certifications or equivalent experience is essential. You will also have great organisation and communication skills with the ability to translate technical and user friendly language. You must have demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills and work well in a high pressured environment. A strong working knowledge of SQL and/or Oracle relational databases is required along with advanced knowledge of various network protocols, operating systems including Linux, storage systems, data backups, firewalls and practical experience of managing secure websites. - Managing all quantities relating to building and civil working projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures

- Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work

- To attend any follow up meetings with the customer to discuss systems design, ensuring any amendments are followed up in a timely manner

- To attend team meetings/briefings as required, ensuring all data/information in respect of ongoing surveys/quotes are up to date and available for discussion

- Tasks may vary depending on the nature of the project being worked on and at the point in the process it's at

An ideal Engineering Surveyor will hold the following skills and experiences:

- Must have previous electronic and door entry systems experience

- Valid UK Driving License

- Knowledge of CCTV, access control or gate automation systems would be beneficial

- Fluent English spoken and written is a must

- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

- Act professionally and courteously at all times

- Act responsibly and with necessary care for himself, the property of others and his team

- Must be a good team worker

The working hours of this role will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 5:00pm. Occasional overtime will be available.
