Based in the company’s central Bristol office you will be part of a team that produce powerful web sites, web services and tools using C#, ASP.NET MVC and SQL Server, working in a test driven environment.

Over time you will work on all aspects of the code base, including importing raw data files over FTP, database reporting, creating REST web service feeds and analysis, generating factsheets in HTML and PDF formats, and creating JavaScript search tools.

As well as concentrating on code quality, you will also need to focus on keeping the systems responsive as the quantity of data continually grows, so you will always be looking for new technologies or architectures that can improve performance.

This is a role for someone who is passionate about coding and web development. You must be naturally interested in technology with the ability to break down and understand core development techniques.

The role will involve 9am – 5pm working hours, you have the flexibility to start any time between 8am and 10am.

Any hours worked in addition to the standard 35 hour week get paid overtime. You have the option to work as much or as little overtime as you wish, giving you the chance to easily add £10k - £15k to your salary.

Skills required:
• 2 - 6 years experience with C# and ASP.NET
• Experience of MVC
• Solid understanding of SQL Server
• Experience of working in a test driven way would be beneficial

Within this role your main responsibilities will include developing and maintaining management information and reporting, developing and maintaining reports within our case management systems, analysing business requirements to enable the development and testing of new business processes and working with project teams to design, develop, test and release new project processes in case management systems. You will also be expected to ensure new processes and applications are documented, demoed and handed over fully to the IT Service Desk, continually review applications and code, create, maintain and update user access levels and design, develop, test and maintain integration with other core applications.

The successful candidate will have some experience of working within a similar role (this could be in work experience capacity) and will hold a relevant, recognised IT qualification. You should be confident in using C#, T-SQL, Javascript, XML, XSLT, CSS and HTML and you will be a strong communicator who can deal with all levels of individuals, including non-technical. It is essential that you are highly organised and can plan and prioritise a heavy workload with ever changing responsibilities. You must also be able to think outside the box to come up with innovative resolutions to problems that may occur. You will be customer focussed and understand the important of using your time wisely and you will be keen to learn new skills and abilities.
