Catering roles:
PGL has a wide range of catering jobs from Catering Assistants to Head Chef to suit any level of experience.

Our Housekeeping Teams prepare and maintain accommodation and communal areas to create a great first impression for our guests. We’re looking for Housekeeping Assistants to join our team from April 2014 and we have vacancies at a range of locations across the UK.

We’re looking for enthusiastic people who can work well both as part of a team and independently to ensure our accommodation and communal areas exceed our guests’ expectations.

Support roles:
Our guests have come to expect market-leading accommodation as well as amazing activities and fantastic food. Our Maintenance Teams are responsible for involves the upkeep and maintenance of the centres' guest and staff accommodation and facilities to create a great first impression for our guests.

We are currently looking to recruit Maintenance Assistants on a fixed term contract to be based at one of our children's educational holiday centres in France or Spain.

Duties will include day-to-day maintenance issues reported by guests and staff and pro-active maintenance to reduce future problems. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for some of the essential auxiliary functions at the centre, including the site’s appearance, general upkeep and cleanliness.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a crucial role to ensure the centre runs like clockwork and that the non-activity side of our guests’ stay exceeds their expectations.

Whilst training can be provided the following skills are essential:

• Basic plumbing
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Basic carpentry

The role of Maintenance Assistant offers great scope for personal development in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities as our Deputy Services Manager:

- To monitor services, delivery of all relevant regulations and standards and MHA's business, legal and performance targets within the allocated area, proactively identifying successes, trends and areas for improvement

- Support the development of existing and new services, as directed by the Services Manager.

- To undertake the management of a Care Home, in the absence of a Manager, as required.

Key Skills and Experience needed to become our Deputy Services Manager:

- A recognised professional qualification in Management or Social Care/Housing.

- At least three years experience of managing services for people in a social care/health field.

- At least two years of effective staff leadership -appraising, training and coaching staff.

- Knowledge and understanding of core principles of care and related quality standards

- Understanding of issues and needs of older people and specific knowledge of dementia and/or nursing

- Experience of managing financial plans/budgets and business planning.

- Excellent self-management skills including ability to plan and adapt quickly to changing situations.

- Commitment to the success of the organisation and everyone in it.

The role will involve regular stays away from home and travelling, successful candidates will need to live within the area and a relocation package may be available.

You will also have a proven reputation for consistently delivering excellence while working as a team and be an excellent problem solver. In addition to this you will need to be flexible and work under pressure, as well as strong communication skills and an ability to prioritise.
