* NVQ Level 2 in IT

Experience:

- Previous experience with SIEMENS, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider PLC's and HMI's.
- Previous experience with GX Developer. (Mitsubishi PLC programming Software), Allen Bradley SLC 500 PLC programming software, Siemens S7 programming software, Schneider SoMachine & Unity.
- Previous experience and ability to carry out installation, service, modification and commissioning to a variety of SCADA Systems, PLC's and HMI's and their respective software.

- Familiarity with standard Desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, MS Project is required.
- Previous experience of CAD applications would be an advantageous.

Experience in all platforms is not essential, the skill to transfer knowledge from one platform to the other is essential.

Qualifications:

- BSc in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent preferred although consideration will be given to lesser qualified candidates (H.N.D. / H.N.C. Electrical / Electronic Engineering) with relevant experience.

The ability to demonstrate other appropriate qualifications other than those stated would be acceptable.

Desirable:

- CSCS Card - Construction Skills Certification Scheme.
- City & Guilds 17th Edition I.E.E. Wiring Regulations

Key Systems:

- A good working knowledge of instrumentation such as electromagnetic flowmeters, ultrasonic levels, pressure sensors, quality analysers such as solids, pH, conductivity would be especially advantageous.
- A working understanding of electrical design, control system methodology and quality systems.
- Ability to produce written reports, specifications, drawings and O&M manuals.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity of taking training in the required technologies along with associated Industrial technologies; e.g. Microsoft .NET, C#, Microsoft SQL (or equivalent technology), XML, Web Services & WCF, ASP.NET, IIS, server applications and the like.

This role covers the whole of the Thames Valley and sometime further afield, so travelling and occasional staying away will be required.
