The Job:
A local junior school are recruiting for a PPA Teacher to cover 5 days a week working across KS2, supporting the class teachers across the year groups. The class sizes are smaller than average 18-25 pupils in each class, this is a 2 form entry with smaller class sizes in Year 6.

The School:
The school is located in a fairly deprived area in MK, the school is made up of mixed ability pupils and the year group is split in to three ability level classes for all lessons. The school is very IT focused with all pupils having their own netbook to work with, they are given responsibility for it within school and they take it through from Year 3 to when they leave the school in Year 6. There are many positive reinforcement initiatives being run within school with displays of their achievements being shown in the communal areas within the building. This school is well resourced and supported, it has a positive and friendly warmth and the children are polite, courteous and well behaved.

The Child:
Every class has full time support, the year groups are colour formatted and the structured set up within the school works and the pupils respond in a positive manner. There are designated reading areas in all year groups with colourful displays and lots of resources to choose from. The school currently has 178 pupils on roll but they are not at full capacity.
