Financial Services Administrator

Position: FS Administrator
Location: Market Harborough Leicestershire
The Financial Services Administrator will ensure the effective management of all pre and post sales administration for life, pension and group scheme transactions.
a) Administering all life, pension, investments, SIPP and group products - e.g. dealing with renewals, corresponding with clients and insurers, administering new entrants and leavers.
b) Processing all new and existing business in accordance with office procedures.
c) Ensuring that business is issued in a timely manner. Ensuring all client records are correctly set up on QUAY and updated at all times with any amendments. Guaranteeing confidentiality of all work undertaken.
d) Proactively supporting all teams as appropriate. Ensuring that client quotations are correct and in accordance with the relevant files and client information.
e) Obtaining documentation for group schemes with regard to new business and renewals, ensuring that correct documentation and supportive literature is provided.
f) Answering inbound calls professionally, transferring calls to the appropriate teams and taking messages in accordance with office procedures.
g) Completing and using the proposal register and all other compliance registers in accordance with administration procedures.
h) Ensuring each file is compliant with FSA rules and office procedures. Ensuring ‘paperless’ file of client records is set up and maintained in accordance with FSA rules.
i) Cross-checking colleagues’ output is always in line with business procedures. Signing off the Financial Administrator’s files in line with the business procedures and competency framework. Processing client queries and complaints in accordance with FSA regulations.
j) Mentoring the Administrators and helping them to build their knowledge on how to process life, investments, pensions, and group transactions.
k) Supervising and managing Administrators as necessary to ensure team performance objectives are met. Delegating basic projects to Administrators in order to support your transactions whilst enabling them to develop their skills-base.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Proven Financial Services experience.
b) Office skills including Microsoft Office and experience answering phone calls.
c) IFA knowledge.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) FP1 qualification.
