We require an experienced and innovative Analogue Electronics Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen interest in electronics R&D, as you will be responsible for developing hardware to support a venture into developing new equipment. This will include setting up a development team consisting of mechanical, electronic, software and ultrasonic personnel. You will also have scope to develop your role into a significant position within the company, hopefully one day heading up future electronic developments.

The appointed Analogue Electronics Design Engineer will initially take a key position within the Design Team leading electronic product and prototype design activities, working closely with digital electronics and software resources to realise designs.

This person is also expected to be involved in the preparation of costs and associated documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Design & Documentation of high end NDT electronic equipment
- Manufacturing support on technical issues.
- Creation of assembly/test documentation
- Creation of schematics, PCB layout, Bills of Materials, parts lists
- Ability to work under time constraints and meet agreed deadlines
- Liaise with suppliers to organise component manufacture.
- Carry out assembly and test of designs.
- Attend Project/Development related meetings

Qualifications/Experience:
To be successful in this position, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or ability required.
- Degree or HND in an Electronics discipline with relevant experience (5-10 years)
- Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
- Top level in design and architecture
- Experience in high frequency, low noise, wide bandwidth design and low level signals focussed on improving s/n ratio
- Knowledge of PCB Layout for reduction of RFI/EMI
- High voltage linear and switching design and power transients
- Knowledge of Op-amp and transistor level design
- Analysis/simulation using Pspice
- Organizational Skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, but also sensitive to team dynamics/goals.
- Knowledge of designing components for NDT inspection applications (Desirable)
- Familiarity/Competency with Microsoft Office tools
- Written and Oral Communication Skills.

Prompt delivery of Electronic designs to meet agreed timescales.

- Practice regular communication with the customer from the start of the project to the end ensuring they deliver a quality project service
- Assist the financial team to ensure that the debt levels are kept within the company guidelines

Skills and Qualifications:

- Effective communicator both written and verbally
- Strong team player
- Ability to interface at all levels of business
- Customer focused
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Qualified to at least ONC level in electrical Installation
- Ideally previous experience with HVAC Controls industry

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm with 1 hour for lunch.
