Based in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, our client is a further education college that offers a wide range of courses including Full-Time, Part-Time, Apprenticeships and University Level. They aim to give all their students an exceptional experience.

They require a skilled and highly motivated individual to join their established team of Progress Tutors. You will have the passion to inspire every student to reach their full potential regardless of their starting point.

You will deliver a full timetable of group tutorials focussing upon personal development, behaviour, welfare and employability. Working alongside curriculum teams your role will be to break down barriers and ensure that all students are able to achieve successful outcomes both academically and socially.

You will have a proven track record in delivering personal development sessions or similar. You will be experienced in monitoring the achievement and progression of students within an educational setting. You will have a sound understanding of the range of issues facing young people with barriers to their learning (including social, emotional and behavioural) and have an ability to motivate students with a diverse range of needs. You will have excellent interpersonal skills in working with students, ability to remain calm and a problem-solving approach to managing challenging situations.
