Company Overview
This is an excellent opportunity to join a GBP35bn turnover power engineering business in a leadership position which is currently involved in enormous infrastructure projects in the UK. With over 100 years of engineering heritage, you'll be joining there expert telecoms function.
Role Outline
This role will be to primarily develop and bring on new business within there telecoms solution offerings. There is also an extensive requirement to manage the existing portfolio of customers & build upon these relationships to yield monetary results. You will have the support of a small team plus the internal knowledge/expertise to lean on, but they require someone with a track record in being able to obtain meetings with senior level clients.
Responsibilities
Create a strategic business plan to increase market share & ensure strong market presence
Implement sales strategy to achieve company goals
Identify new market opportunities
Present on sales & revenue reports with realistic forecasts to the management team
Drive an ethos of customer satisfaction
Record all sales activity
Build manage and develop appropriate relationships at all levels with stakeholders across key and target accounts/opportunities
Requirements
Essential
HND/ Degree in Electrical Engineering/ equivalent technical knowledge
Successful track record as a sales manager selling wired communications network solutions in the UK market
Knowledge and experience of working in the electricity grid & transports sectors
A good working knowledge of communication technologies PDH, SDH, VoIP, EoS, CES, MPLS, IP and their applications & services.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels in an organisation
Desirable
Diploma/degree or equivalent in business management
Power Grid automation experience
Established network within comms & electricity market
