Are you an experienced cook with excellent customer service and cleaning skills?
Our clients based Uphill Lincoln are currently recruiting for a breakfast Cook to join their team on a part-time, ongoing temporary basis with the hope to go permanent.
As a key member of the team, it is imperative that you remain professional & positive with a passion for hospitality and customer service.
Main Responsibilities will include, but won't be limited to:
- Prepare and serve breakfast to guests
- Greet and serve guests in the breakfast room
- Assist someone else when they are preparing breakfast
- Set up breakfast room and relay during/after service
- Organise laundry when delivered
- Ensure overall cleanliness of the building is kept to a high standard
- Clean guest bedrooms and communal areas (to include changing linen)
- Clean communal areas of the guest house and offices
- Assist with guests leaving keys at check out following breakfast
- Dealing with guest enquiries and queries in a friendly, welcoming & efficient manner demonstrating excellent customer service skills & ensuring their stay is exceptional
- Working closely alongside other departments to ensure effective communication and be proactive in assisting other departments as required in busy periods.
- Relaying important information to other team members by using an efficient handover process
- Assist in keeping grounds maintained (leaf clearance / light sweeping & weeding)
- Report maintenance problems to reception without delay
- Be accountable for reporting low stock levels for guest bedrooms & bathrooms & report to your supervisor
Location: Lincoln LN2
Hours: 5 Days out of 7 per week, Part Time: Up to 32.5 Hours per week
Shifts between the hours of 7.00am - 14.00pm including Weekends/Bank Holidays on a Rota Basis
Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a Hotel/Guesthouse environment & Customer Service
- Food Hygiene Trained to be able to cook breakfast confidently
- Smart appearance and a professional approach is a must within this role as we pride ourselves as prestigious warm and welcoming environment.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Good teamworking skills and the confidence to communicate with others
- The ability to manage your own workload whilst on shift
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
- A problem-solving approach to work, being able to think swiftly, whilst remaining calm under pressure
- Have the ability to carry out manual tasks which may involve heavy lifting
