We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Technician for the Mouldshop, initially at our Worcester site. This is a key position providing technical support to ensure high levels of productivity and ensure that products are produced right first time. We are looking for an experienced technician with extensive injection moulding and setting experience and a quality-driven mind set.

Key responsibilities:

* Ensure company Health, Safety & Environmental policies are adhered to

* Provide technical support to the setters and the production team

* Coach and motivate setters, ensuring individual and group productivity

* Ensure machines/tooling are optimised at all times, minimising downtime

* Ensure high quality standards in line with customer expectations and assist managers in continuous improvement

* Assist setters with tool changes including preparation, cleaning hoppers, material preparation

* Reception and initial assessment of incoming tooling and equipment

* New tool sampling and maturation/optimisation

* Fixtures and program development to include current and new product introduction

* Shift cover for setters during holiday periods

* Maintain highest standards of housekeeping in line with 5S protocols

* Manage machine-operating systems to achieve Tier 1-level OEE

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Must be able to get the job done right first time and in addition:

* be confident and conversant with plastic injection moulding products, materials, tools and equipment

* be a highly experienced setter/technician (PTIC Level 4 would be an advantage)

* have an eye for detail

* be able to demonstrate a continuous improvement/problem-solving mindset

* be a good communicator at various levels

* be willing to learn and embrace new ways of working and embrace ever-changing production demands or requirements

* be familiar with MRP systems and how they can be used to help resolve issues

* be self-motivated

HOURS

You will be employed to work at least 40 hours per week. You will be expected to work alternating shifts, covering two day shifts 06.00-14.00 (Mon-Fri)/14.00-22.00 (Mon-Fri). A flexible approach to working additional hours, possibly on nights or weekends when required is preferred
