Lecturer – Mechanical Engineer

Salary: £22,034 - £25,671 per annum plus excellent benefits

Location: Exeter

Hours: 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

Exeter College in partnership with MB Aerospace are looking to recruit a new team member to support an exciting and innovative staff development programme based at the College’s Learning hub within MB Aerospace at Newton Abbot. This role will be at the heart of an exceptional employer and educational partnership and will support the aims and objectives of both organisations to teach, train and assess both in the classroom and the workplace.

We are looking for candidates who have experience of teaching, training and assessing across a range of engineering related subjects and age groups. You will be joining an Outstanding faculty that is proactive in working with employers and the local community to deliver quality teaching, training and assessment. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, a good communicator and able to deliver outstanding teaching and learning/ training. Experience of teaching and/or work-based assessment is essential. Due to the nature of the business a flexible approach to working hours is essential to meet the needs of the employer.

You will be able to demonstrate recent experience of teaching at a post compulsory level, have substantial industry experience or hold a relevant qualification and have up to date knowledge of industry practice. You will need to hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.

Working hours will be in line with shift patterns and on occasions flexibility regarding working hours will be required.
