Due to continued growth and off the back of significant investment in the business our Client , who are one of the UK's most successful Maintenance and Repair organisations, are looking to hire a mechanical fitter to work on a full time and permanent basis at their site close to Stansted Airport.
This particular role is working on power generators and control units and the purpose of this role is to carry out overhaul and repair of the generator sub assemblies. These parts are highly intricate and contain integrated hydraulics which require overhaul, fault finding, repair and rebuild. All overhauls are carried out to both company specific standards as well as international standards and will require the use of test equipment such as : bore gauges, verniers, micrometers, digital multi-meters, hi pot testers, presses, balancing equipment, lapping machines, sodium lights and soldering irons.
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced mechanical fitter or engineer who has a background in repairing generator/engine parts and sub assemblies. You will be mechanically biased and have some form of mechanical engineering qualification. Candidates must also have a sound knowledge and experience of hydraulics and hydraulic fitting. Preference will be given to candidates with aviation or aerospace experience.
This role is on a standard day shift, Monday to Friday totalling 39 hours per week. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefits with genuine opportunity to progress your career.
