We are recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager who has worked within the landscaping (hard or soft) installation sector and across both residential and commercial projects

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing and working closely with subcontracted labour to ensure that installation projects are completed on time and ideally to budget as well as working closely with Clients and be proactive in seeing the opportunity and quoting for both additional works and new business opportunities.

The Key Responsibilities for the Contracts Manager will include :

* Pre-contract site meetings in order to clarify and confirm details of work and any amendments to costings within agreed parameters.

* Preparing programmes of work for all large contracts (circa GBP50K+)

* Maintaining an up-to-date and cost-effective schedule of installation contracts, agreeing dates (and/or any amendments) with clients and subcontractors.

* Ensuring that projects are undertaken in accordance with plans.

* Monitoring and review progress against individual job costings in order to ensure that gross profit margins are achieved or exceeded.

* Managing any site and installation issues, ensuring they are resolved successfully and to the Clients satisfaction.

* Sign-off meetings as appropriate with clients at the completion of installation.

* Training of subcontractors to ensure they are proficient and motivated.

* Assisting the sales team in the pricing of miscellaneous items for job costings in liaison with the Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will need to:

* Have at least 2 years relevant experience of construction related to landscaping (could be hard, soft, fencing or play related landscaping.

* Maintain a calm approach, be well organised, be flexible, be a strong forward planner, happy to work within a close team environment with the ability to work on their own initiative.

In return, our Client is looking to offer a basic salary of up to GBP35,000 per year, four weeks holiday (plus bank holidays), a company vehicle (or allowance) and a pension scheme
