Workshop fitter/engineer

Station Road Steam is a small, family-owned business based in Metheringham; we build large scale miniature steam locomotives which are exported all over the world, as well as servicing a wide range of model locomotives and traction engines.

We are looking for an experienced mechanic/fitter to work in our busy workshop. Whilst a basic knowledge of steam engines would be useful, experience in other fields such as the motor trade or agricultural engineering would provide a similar skill set – the rest we can teach you.

We offer a friendly working environment and flexible working hours, either part-time or full-time to suit.

A driving licence would be an advantage although not essential. We have a great team of seven people in the company, all excellent in their own fields. A bright, positive outlook, honesty, and a desire to get on are things we’d value in somebody joining us.
