Arboricultural Consultant - Derby
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Arboricultural Consultant to join an established environmental consultancy. Our client are a reputable multidisciplinary consultancy offering expert services and solutions from planning and design to ecology and arboriculture to clients from a variety of sectors across the UK.
As an Arboricultural Consultant, you will become a vital part of a small Arboricultural team. Duties comprise of delivering high-quality Arboricultural advice and services across a diverse range of projects. Responsibilities may include: undertaking Arboricultural surveys and assessments in line with BS5837:2012 guidelines, Veteran Tree Assessments, Tree Hazard Assessments, National House Building Council Surveys and preparing Woodland Management plans.
Ideal Person Specification
* At least a Level 3 qualification in Arboriculture (or an equivalent discipline), candidates with further qualifications are encouraged to apply.
* Experience undertaking tree surveys in accordance with BS5837:2012.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and experience writing reports (e.g Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements.
* Demonstrable ability to proactively manage time and work to strict deadlines.
* Computer literate (particularly Microsoft Office.
* Membership/Accreditation of a relevant professional body (e.g. Arboricultural Association, ICF).
* A full, clean UK driving licence.
Ideally, candidates will have experience using GIS/AutoCAD systems however full training will be provided. Candidates who hold LANTRA Tree Inspection and NPTC Aerial Inspections certifications and/or Bat Roost Inspection experience will also have a distinct advantage in this role.
