What is the role?

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of government buildings within your local community ensuring that contract objectives are delivered on time and to a professional standard.

* Location: Penistone Grammar School

* Address: Huddersfield Road, Penistone, Sheffield S36 7BX

* Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri 09:00 to 17:00

* Role will be 5 over 7 days but job, however will be no more than 1 weekend in 3

What will this role involve?

* Planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, compliance monitoring/testing e.g. water temperatures, fire alarms, sprinklers

* Ensuring that all reactive and maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard within the contracted SLA's and enable full statutory compliance

* Maintain the professional image of Amey and the client at all times.

* Provide a client-facing interface to ensure a high level of communication is delivered to the client

* Produce clear and concise written reports in a timely manner

* Ability to work as part of a large team as well as independently where required

* Set up areas for large meetings, assemblies and training as and when required

* Escort contractors around the premises when required

* Develop and maintain relationships with all the Authority departments

* Maintain accurate site contract administration files

* Take ownership of projects and provide support as and when required

* Work closely with site Operations Manager on reporting for your premises

What are we looking for?

* Previous experience of working within the Facilities/Estate management arena. School Caretakers are encouraged to apply.

* Must have good general maintenance skills

* IT literate to use Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system - training will be provided

* Good at developing strong working relationships with on-site client and employees

* Familiar with COSHH standards
