NPS Humber Limited is a joint venture between Norse Group and Hull City Council. We provide a wide range of services including: architecture, building and quantity surveying, mechanical, electrical and structural engineering, landscape architecture, compliance, property maintenance, asset management and land surveying, estate management, property agency, rating and valuation and consultancy services.

The Role

NPS Humber have an excellent opportunity to join the team as a Chartered Building Surveyor. Our building surveyors help to ensure efficient maintenance planning and manage planned and reactive building repair activities. You will know what to look for to ensure that building users are safe, repairs and refurbishments are effective, and that our property portfolio is compliant with current and forthcoming legislation, whilst line managing where necessary.

You will be required to undertake projects in accordance with RICS standards and provide technical and advisory guidance to clients, stakeholders and other technical team members. You will also ensure the delivery of quality assured client focused projects and services, whilst managing the surveying process through data collection, inputting and reporting.

You will have:

Chartered membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent or be working to or prepared to work towards chartered status.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a Building Surveying related discipline.
Current site card or prepared to attain immediately.
Extensive experience in a similar role.
Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of the Building Regulations and other construction and building surveying related legislation.
An understanding of current construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos.
