Happy to Talk Flexible Working

Do you want to go the extra mile for customers and join a forward thinking social housing company who want to invest and develop in a career that grows with you? Our Homelessness service is looking for a positive and dynamic person to join their dedicated team.

Curo have been ranked in the top 50 in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to work for in the whole of the UK. We are one of the largest landlords in the South West, with a diverse portfolio of affordable and market rented homes.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be working with adults and families in our Homelessness service who may need support with finances, poor mental health and alcohol/drug use to empower them to fulfil their potential.

You’ll work with internal services and other organisations to identify opportunities for customers to help them reach their potential.

You’ll also be carrying out housing management duties to ensure customers are able to sustain their tenancy obligations.

At times you’ll be happy to get stuck in supporting the team and this might mean one day you are resolving a challenging situation, the next you are building a bed for a new customer.

More about you

You’ll have experience of working in a supported housing, social care or community environment, with a practical understanding of benefits and the needs of customers with mental health needs, homelessness and/or alcohol and drug use.

You’ll have a good understanding of support planning, risk assessments and empowering people to identify and achieve their personal goals and aspirations.

You’ll demonstrate a passion for delivering person centered services while maintaining contractual outcomes.

You’ll be self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to keep accurate and up to date records.

At the same time you will demonstrate resilience and the desire to work in an interesting environment where no day is ever the same!

We will need to take up an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check for this role which we will do for you when you start.

When and where you'll be doing it

You will be able to work flexibly, Monday to Friday, based on our customers’ needs.  You will be responsible for organizing your own workload and setting your diary appointments.

You’ll be based in Bath

What will you get in return?

We think you’ll have a job that makes you feel good about what you’re doing – you will make a difference to our customers’ lives every day.

You’ll get:

  • Additional day annual leave on your birthday
  • 26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 after 3 years’ service
  • Opportunity to earn additional performance related pay
  • Company Pension contribution of up to 10%
  • Flexible Benefits including health care, gym membership, additional holiday purchase

Here at Curo we are about getting the right candidate for the right role, however we recognise that as an organization we are underrepresented in certain areas and therefore we operate the disability confident scheme to encourage disabled applicants and we welcome applications from candidates who are BAME or LGBTQ+.  We also welcome applications from Curo customers.
