HOTEL RECEPTIONIST

Role Title: Receptionist
Reporting to: Reception Manager
Contract: Permanent - 40 Hours per week
Location:Branston, Lincoln

Our client is looking to recruit an additional Receptionist to join the team at their busy prestigious hotel. The successful applicant must have previous reception / hospitality experience along with excellent customer service and communication skills. As first point of call for both guests and staff you will be efficient, effective and enthusiastic and happy to work in a busy environment covering various shifts including weekends, evenings and public holidays. Excellent fluency, in written and spoken English is essential. Must be highly organised and able to multi-task Computer knowledge required however full training will be given on their system. 8 hour varying shifts to cover, between 7am until 11pm.

This prestigious hotel was originally built in 1885 as a stately home; the property was converted into a hotel in 1990. It is surrounded by 88 acres of wooded parkland and lakes, all belonging to the hotel. The location is totally serene and unspoilt by the pressures of the modern world.

Main Responsibilities

*To check in and checkout guests and groups effectively.
*To provide information to guests on all hotel products and services.
*Cash handling, balancing floats
*Answering telephones and taking messages
*This list is not exhaustive and you may be asked to do other duties as and when required.

Person Specification

*Previous experience as a hotel receptionist would be an advantage
*Previous computerised guest reservations and billing experience would be an advantage.
