Part-time, up to 34 hrs. Per/wk., 36 wks. Per/yr. | Permanent | Pro rata of £20,570 to £22,275 P/A

We are seeking Signer/Communicators who will provide signing, note taking support and holistic support to students who require additional support within the learning and teaching environment, and those with an Education, Health & Care Plan, in order to enable the development of learning skills that will nurture independence and facilitate access to Further Education.

In addition, you will contribute to needs assessments, EHCP reviews, and identification of support required for your students. This will involve regular reports on student progress and involvement in staff team discussions to ensure high quality of support for your students

You will be educated to a minimum of BSL Level 2 or equivalent, and will have experience of supporting children and/or adults who are deaf or hard of hearing within a learning support service. Demonstrable knowledge of current models of support for learning is also essential, as is the ability to empathise and engage effectively with your students.
