An expanding independent special school is seeking to appoint Learning Support Workers to support our growing numbers of students. You will ideally have at least 3 years experience working with students with ASD/ADHD and associated conditions. You will be able to manage your own workload independently and be confident working with students both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You will assist the teaching staff with delivery of pre-prepared schemes of work and support students with both academic and activity based learning at on and offsite activities. You will have direct experience of dealing with challenging behaviour, de-escalation and use of positive handling techniques.
A full UK driving license and use of your own car is essential for the role.
Hours: 8.30am-4.30pm Term Time
