Conveyancing Assistant

A specialist conveyancing firm based in Derby are going through an exciting period of growth and are currently seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join their team.

The Firm:

• You'll be working for a specialist conveyancing law firm based in Derby.
• They have clear plans to significantly grow the business.
• They embrace the latest market-leading conveyancing technology whilst providing an outstanding level of customer service to their clients.
• The directors and conveyancers have extensive conveyancing experience throughout the UK.
• You'd be joining a friendly team where they focus on creating a positive working environment for staff.

The Role:

• You'll be working one to one with a Residential Conveyancer, assisting them with their conveyancing caseload.
• You will deal with the majority of residential conveyancing sales files under supervision of the fee earner.
• Assisting the fee earner in progressing purchase files on a delegated basis.
• Dealing with setting up files for completion.
• Assisting the fee earner to ensure compliance with internal and external SLAs.
• Obtain a sound knowledge of the conveyancing process with a view to becoming a case handling Fee Earner.

The Candidate:

• You will have a minimum of 6-12 months conveyancing experience working within a similar role.
• You will possess a good knowledge of running sales files.
• Able to work on own initiative as well as in a team.
• You will be a strong team player, keen to progress within a conveyancing environment.
• Able to prioritise work, have good attention to detail and work well under pressure.
