Role: Senior Ecologist
Location: Derby
Salary: Competitive Salary
My client, an internationally recognised multi-disciplinary consultancy, are currently on the lookout for an experienced Senior Ecologist to join their experienced Environmental team based in Derby.
Your responsibility in this role will be to manage projects, undertake and plan protected species surveys and to also establish new and existing client relationships.
If successful in your application you will:
* Carrying out site supervision and identifying ecological constraints on projects;
* Assist the Principal Ecologist;
* Organising and co-ordinate surveys;
* Preparing high quality reports;
* Project management;
* Assisting and conducing Protected Species/Phase 1 habitat surveys when required;
* Undertaking ecological appraisals and mitigation design;
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
* Associate/Full CIEEM membership
* A degree in Ecology or a related discipline
* Demonstrable Project Management experience
* Excellent report writing skills
* Ability to lead a team
* Demonstrable protected species and Phase 1 Habitat survey experience
* GIS Experience
* Full knowledge of UK Wildlife Legislation
* Full, UK driving licence
