Are you an experienced Shift Manager from an engineering/manufacturing background with knowledge of lean manufacturing and staff management looking for a weekend-based, wide ranging, technically challenging and varied role offering extensive training and development?

The hours will be 6 am - 6 pm Saturday and Sunday, plus 8 hours in the week on a rotating shift so the role represents a superb salary and a lot of time off! Typically roles such as these have suited those who have commitments during the week such as a young family, or simply those who wish to enjoy most of the week off.

On offer is a position with a very well established and stable organisation who employ over 200 people on site in Nottingham. Success has been built on a range of customers, products and industries, and geographical locations giving inherent stability and reliance to market forces. This company are increasing headcount and therefore further career progression is available.

They currently require a Manufacturing Shift Manager to responsibility for production area and output including performance target and attainment. You will have responsibility for the delivery of the people plan for the shift team, meet performance review objectives and delivering manufacturing plan to budget whilst upholding safety and quality standards.

The role

1 Technical management of the shift to include compliance to Quality standards

2 Implementing best practice and lean processes within the department including NPD activities

3 Carry out performance Appraisal Review's for direct reports

The person

1 Background in manufacturing/engineering sector up to managerial or team leading level

2 Proven experience of quality management

3 Experience of lean manufacturing
