  • You must be confident with meeting and greeting groups of excited school children and managing their timetables and activities.
  • You will be flexible, hard-working, honest, and committed to your role and the business.
  • You must be a people person who can comfortably ensure strong professional relationships with schools, teachers, students and other professionals.
  • You must be responsible, reliable and trustworthy.
  • You must enjoy working with young people and creating new opportunities.
  • A passion for surfing, health and wellbeing and environmental education would be an advantage to drive our adventure-based school packages.

To join our team you must have:

  • Experience in an educational setting.
  • Experience of conducting risk assessments.
  • The ability to commute daily with our beach base in Newquay during the peak season.
  • Excellent computer skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • A full driving license with your own transport as travelling from location to location on a daily basis will be necessary

It would be even better, but not essential, if you also had the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status: Primary or Secondary
  • Working knowledge and experience of dealing with OFSTED and/or LOTC
  • Customer service experience
  • Business development experience
  • Marketing and sales experience
  • A working knowledge of GDPR regulations
  • Business experience
  • Impact analysis experience
  • Safeguarding qualifications

Due to the nature of the role, the post holder is required to work occasional weekends as well as greeting evening school arrivals when required. As a seasonal operation, extended holiday is reserved for the business’ winter shutdown.

What we can offer you:

We believe this is a truly unique and exciting opportunity for someone looking to take on a fresh challenge in an exciting, creative and inspiring role and gives you the opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives by using the beach and the ocean as your classroom.
