About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Ecologist to win and coordinate a wide range of project tasks. You will undertake more general ecological appraisals, protected species surveys, mitigation design and construction and post-construction supervision and monitoring. You will be responsible for the management of your project work including your own technical assessments and reporting outputs, together with establishing and the maintaining ongoing client relationships and coordinating larger project survey requirements.

Key responsibilities:

* Assisting the Principal Ecologist by providing taking on and independently undertaking a wide range of project tasks as and when required

* Undertaking general ecological appraisals, protected species surveys, mitigation design and construction and post-construction supervision and monitoring

* Managing project work within the office, particularly technical assessments and reporting outputs; Establishing and the maintaining ongoing client relationships

Skills/expertise required:

* Educated to degree level in a relevant subject

* CIEEM membership (Associate / Full)

* Well established ecological consultant with bat experience with at least a solid background working in ecological consultancy

* Ability to plan and undertake habitat surveys to a high standard and to identify indicator plant species and habitat types

* Full knowledge of UK and EU Wildlife Legislation and best practice survey techniques;

* Full driving licence.
