The Company:

The company is looking for a head chef to take control of their fully refurbished kitchen.

They are a freehold Country Inn that has recently been fully refurbished to a high standard which attract an older clientele who are looking for modern food with a difference. In the bar area they can seat up to 50 people. They would rather do 50 well than do 70 badly.

As head chef they would expect you to organise and run the kitchen to a 5* food hygiene rating.

What they are looking for:

  • Highly motivated
  • Able to maintain high standards
  • Highly organised with the ability to plan with the Manager
  • Able to cope under pressure

Job Duties:

  • Developing menus according to the seasons
  • Food ordering and stock control
  • Food preparation and service
  • Ensuring food standards are high and consistent

Skills and qualities:

Experience in a head chefs roll would be an advantage. However, a sous Chef looking to step up would also be seriously considered.

  • Initially they would only be open 4 days a week to the public
