MATRON/HOUSEKEEPER – TERM TIME
We have an exciting opportunity for a resident, full-time Matron/Housekeeper, to commence the new academic School year in August 2019, within a girls’ boarding house (The Abbey).
This is a key non-teaching appointment and as such, carries a great deal of responsibility for the pastoral care of the pupils, therefore applicants are sought whom can maintain and enhance Repton School’s reputation for providing outstanding care of young people. Previous experience in a caring/nursing profession is preferable, but not essential.
The primary function of a Repton Matron/Housekeeper is to provide high quality pastoral care for the pupils within the boarding House, working closely with and in support of the Housemistress. As the Housekeeper, the Matron’s secondary function is to manage the domestic services in the House and oversee the Domestic staff, which includes cleaning and catering – House dining is an essential element of the Repton boarding experience.
A generous package, including accommodation, private health care and school holidays is offered.
Please note that applications will only be accepted on the School’s official application form, therefore to download an application pack, which includes full information and job description, please visit our website by clicking the apply button.
Closing Date: Monday 22nd April 2019.
Repton School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
