Start date: 8 July 2019 - 12 month contract - Full or Part Time

Since then more than £100 million has been raised for hundreds of charities. 65,000 people have cycled, trekked, run, climbed mountains and ridden horses to all corners of the globe while taking part in one of our charity challenge events.

The Sales & Marketing Executive Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for a Sales & Marketing Executive to join us on a 12 month maternity contract. Your role will be to enhance the overall business development in supporting the business strategy of the company and implementing the marketing strategy throughout the business. 

Specific Responsibilities:

Marketing
:

+ Responsible for the marketing strategy for inclusion in the business strategy
+ Design new marketing materials eg. case studies, itineraries etc.
+ Collate information and distribute company marketing materials.
+ Co-ordinate with external suppliers for new format marketing materials and manage budget and requirements
+ Manage the design of an online brochure for all events
+ Update the open challenges and overall challenge brochures for events
+ Source marketing materials when required
+ Support all the Managers in all aspects of marketing their projects and assisting their clients
+ Responsible for implementing a brand standard and issuing brand guidelines and ensuring they are up to date
+ Work with external copywriter to provide information for company e-shot alongside providing content
+ Create content for website and eshot
+ Design and distribute all discounts and offers for Open Challenges to staff and charities

Business Development (Sales)

+ Day to day business development focused on corporate business clients
+ Research for business information, e.g. finding the correct contact to target
+ Identify and contact key corporate targets on telephone
+ Maintain the corporate email list
+ Maintain, follow up and convert target to sales / pipeline document
+ Create personalised proposals with challenge ideas to fulfil the target’s needs
+ Cost different challenges and options for clients
+ Manage the Open Challenge programme by hosting Open Challenge meetings and confirming challenges
+ Ensure the Open Challenge procedure is implemented and manage all staff roles in Open Challenges
+ Put together full challenge details, including itinerary, flights and ground costs from external suppliers for each Open Challenge
+ Manage the launch and deadline dates for the Open Challenges in line with the company calendar
+ Maintain relationship with charity Open Challenge promoters
+ Build relationships in order to encourage more charities to promote Open Challenges.
+ Every 3-4 months check Open Challenge matrix and spot check the charities websites
+ Manage Time Outdoors, Challenge Finder and other subscriptions.
+ Manage the Classic Dashboard (BDM page) and ensure mass participation event information is fed in alongside the BDM information and statistics 
+ Work with Nightrider Manager to co-ordinate information for charity leads
+ Contact key charity targets on telephone or via email and collate information and prepare proposals for gaps in events
+ Contact the corporate fundraising teams to establish links through the charities to their corporate partners
+ Assist with pitches / meetings for new corporate supporters via the charity
+ Attend trade shows for networking opportunities
+ Responsible for managing all external marketing and design agencies and contractors
+ Diarise monthly business strategy meetings for Managing Director and Project Team – draft and issue agenda
+ Work alongside project teams on mass participation events to ensure marketing plans and budgets are catered for
+ Manage Pedal4Cancer marketing strategy and budget

Working hours:

Monday – Friday (Part time applicants will be considered)
Hours of work: 9am-5pm
Some evening and weekend work from time to time + flexibility to cover for other staff when on annual leave. Attend events as staff where required / possible, including London Nightrider. 

What we're looking for:

+ Self-motivated, friendly, confident individual with mature outlook
+ Ability to multi-task and work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
+ Excellent organisational and time management skills
+ Ability to focus and prioritise, to work efficiently in a high-pressured environment, work to deadlines and have high attention to detail
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a positive telephone manner is essential
+ Strong administration skills in an office-based environment
+ Good numeracy skills

Essential:

+ Minimum of 1 year working in a sales role
+ Experience of working in a marketing role
+ Computer skills – office based programmes
+ Sense of humour and love of cake

Desirable:

+ Social media and marketing experience
+ Experience of working in similar industry
+ Experience of working in similar role
+ Computer skills – adobe programmes
+ Passion for travel and adventure
+ Office based experience in the charity, event and/or travel industry

You may have worked in the following capacities:
Travel Sales, Travel Marketing, Charity Sales, Charity Marketing, Fundraising.
