PART-TIME ALSAGER CIVIC AND INSTITUTE MANAGER (28 HOURS PER WEEK MINIMUM BUT FLEXIBILITY REQUIRED UP TO 37 HOURS PER WEEK)GRADE LC2 SCP28-32 £26,317 – £29,636 per annum pro rata.

The Town Council is seeking a part-time Alsager Civic and Institute Manager, based at Alsager Civic to ensure the Town Council’s community facilities operate to a high standard of service.

Reporting to the Town Clerk, the Manager will be responsible for the successful day to day supervision of the Alsager Civic, a thriving licensed community building, and its staff.

It will also manage the Alsager Institute, a registered charity building owned and managed by the Town Council.The successful candidate should have experience of staff and venue supervision, event management and promotion in a customer facing role.

He/she will manage staff to ensure the effective operation of the administrative functions including promotion of the venues,
invoicing, cash handling, ticket sales, stock control and the cleanliness of the building. The candidate must possess excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills.

Candidates must be capable of using IT packages including, Word, Publisher, Excel and Access. As the venue opens throughout the day, late into the evening and weekends, flexibility is absolutely essential, although the core hours will generally be worked during the day.
