Our Client, a global market leading Importer and Exporter, is looking to recruit a Documentation Assistant to join their Administration team in Newbury, Berkshire.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Dealing with all aspects of paperwork for Solid Wood orders, ensuring timely presentation of documents to tight deadlines:
• Updating Docs in Progress spreadsheets with new shipments as per booking confirmation.
• Advising customers/agents of sailing schedules
• Processing packing lists received from suppliers for both Lumber and Logs shipments and analyzing the data to ensure that loaded material conforms to order specification and requirements - advise Sales Service Supervisor / European Trade Director immediately if any discrepancies.
• Sending container information, customs forms and B/L instructions to the shipping lines/freight forwarders prior to shipment (meeting tight deadlines)
• Checking and chasing for Bill of Lading drafts and following up with the Shipping Lines and Forwarders for revised drafts and originals.
