An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the South West's leading employers as a Craftsperson - Mechanical for our team based in Tolgus, Redruth.
[b]The Role[/b]
The Craftsperson - Mechanical will strip, inspect and repair assets which are sent through South West Water's internal Repair Workshop from both Waste Water Services and Drinking Water Services function. You will provide services of the required quality and quantity, in a sustainable manner that meets the required internal and external customer service standards, whilst protecting the environment. Duties include:
*Asset repair and maintenance as scheduled by the scheduling team or your manager.*Undertaking any training required in order to carry out work activities in a safe or legal manner.*Assisting operational staff with the resolution of complex problems.*Accurate and timely feedback of activities completed.*Keeping our customers updated with activities which may impact on their processes.*Using method statements and safe systems of work for the activities you carry out.*Having a good understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities in a work place.*Working with or in close proximity to chemicals in accordance with COSHH, QMS Procedures and relevant Health and Safety standards.*Liaising with the Maintenance & FSC Manager to ensure schedules are optimised.
[b]The Ideal Craftsperson - Mechanical:[/b]
*Experience of working within a maintenance environment*Worked with Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Safe Systems of Work to deliver an effective and safe maintenance regime*Able to deliver an effective maintenance service in both workshop and site environments*Experience of working with Drinking and / or Waste Water treatment processes would be desirable*Able to fault find and repair large complex pieces of mechanical equipment.*Able to work under pressure to deliver within tight deadlines
