Job Description or a Pipeline Construction Engineer:
• Engineering role working on the construction phase of multiple high pressure gas pipeline diversions. Working as part of a small engineering team in a fast paced construction environment.
• Duties will include, day to day management of site surveyors, developing temporary works designs for low risk site activities, writing technical reports for construction and other engineering personnel, estimating and forecasting construction materials, measuring in pipework and maintaining site redline drawings.
• Must be flexible worker willing to develop new skills as required to maintain construction progress and able to work closely with other disciplines and team members to develop sound working relationships.
Mandatory Skills and Training:
• A minimum of undergraduate degree in mechanical, civil or geotechnical engineering (or related discipline) or other degree with a minimum of 5 years directly relatable work experience.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience of large construction projects.
• Understanding and use of 2D AutoCAD
• Use of GNSS and Total Station equipment
Preferred Skills and Training needed as a Pipeline Construction Engineer:
• Experience of onshore cross country oil or gas pipelines
• Experience of deep shaft and micro-tunnel construction
• EUSR Training Cross Country Pipelines
• SCO 1 & 2 (Cadent) Accreditation
• Confined Space Training
• ESRI ArcGIS experience
