My Client a leading law firm is looking for a Senior BA to join the team.
Role:
Supporting the Business Systems Analyst Team Leader, the Senior Business Systems Analyst's remit is two-fold. Firstly, to take the ownership and responsibility for requirements management, understand business function capabilities, construct business process models and contribute to the Firm's operational and strategic goals. Secondly, to provide leadership to team members and support by way of coaching and mentoring.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst is primarily a business-facing role and so both strong 'soft' and technical skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a sometimes less than structured environment with continually changing Stakeholder requirements. An appreciation of continual improvement is important along with a commitment to ensuring business continuity.
Key-
* Delivering quality analysis and design documentation; formulating, refining and baselining business requirements with thorough acceptance criteria to ensure the end product is fit for purpose
* Transposing requirements into new or existing business processes using the BPMN notation
* Serving as the conduit between the business Stakeholders (internal and external), the Software Development and Service Operation teams to ensure the change or project is delivered as effectively as possible and that the final product meets the agreed requirements and scope
* Leading requirement workshops on Business IT programmes, eliciting, documenting and validating the requirements ensuring that all aspects of the problem domain are within scope, complete, and deliverable
* Taking responsibility for critically evaluating information consumed from varying sources and reconciling any conflicts
* Proactively communicating and collaborating with Stakeholders (internal and external) to analyse information needs and requirements with a view to delivering the following artefacts as deemed appropriate: Business Requirements, Use Case contextual model, Process Designs and where applicable User Interfaces
* Engaging, monitoring and ensuring tracability of solutions against the baselined requirements to ensure benefits are realised, highlighting when this is not the case and influencing alternative approaches to meet the desired business outcomes
* Coaching team members to help them realise and achieve their potential
* Mentoring junior members of the team, leading by example and adhering to best practice ways of working
* Acting in an advisory capacity on the process and practice for conducting Business Analysis activities within the firm
* Facilitating the Business Analysis Community of Practice, providing direction and encouraging others to participate and to take ownership for their own development to promote good practice in the business analysis domain
Experience
Essential:
* The suitable candidate will come from a Business Analysis, or Business Systems Analysis background
* Confident with using waterfall and agile requirement production frameworks.
* Experience of coordinating other team members' work
* Experience of mentoring Junior and/or mid-level Business Analysts
