Tor Bridge High in Plymouth rated Good in all areas by Ofsted in April 2015 was described as “a harmonious community where staff and students co-operate well” and where, “all groups of students are now making good progress across all year groups”.

Ours is a thriving school oversubscribed for the fifth year.

At Tor Bridge High we are committed to providing the ‘small schools’ experience to our students.   This means that, within our bigger organisation of Tor Bridge High, we run smaller primary sized secondary schools, of which Tenzing School is one.   The School Administrator role is pivotal in our work with students, staff and parent(s)/carer(s) in improving attendance, behaviour and academic outcomes.

The successful candidate will be required to provide administrative support to the Tenzing team which comprises a Head of School, Deputy Head of School, Assistant Head of School and, of course, the Administrator.  Each school has a wider focus of responsibility for the Administrator – within Tenzing this relates to providing attendance data and tracking to tutors, teacher, Curriculum Leaders and members of the Senior Leadership Team (SALT).

Excellent inter-personal and communication skills to work with students and staff day to day, along with good organisational skills that will help you run a busy school office are essential to this role.  In addition, you must be able to work under pressure, be an excellent team player and be highly collaborative when working with all partner schools.

Previous experience of working in an educational environment is desirable.

An application for and information pack can be obtained from the school website www.torbridge.net You should then return the completed application form either by post or by e-mail to Samuel Raphael at the School (sraphael@torbridge.net)

Closing date: Friday 29.3.19 at 12.00pm

Interviews will be held on Thursday 4.4.19

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.  The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.  Checks will also be made with previous employers.
