Job Title: Fire & Security Technician

Location: Covering Kent and Sussex

Salary: GBP33,092 (including standby allowance)

Benefits: Company Van, company pension scheme, BUPA (single cover), 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Hours: 40 hours a week - Monday to Friday

On call / Standby: 1 week in every 4

Our client is a national Facilities Management company and due to a major new contract win with a highly respected national Blue-Chip retailer our client is looking to recruit for a number of Fire & Security Technicians throughout the UK.

For this role our client is looking to an experienced Fire & Security Technician to look after between a number of Small/Medium/Large retail stores in the Kent and Sussex area.

Job Purpose:

This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive Fire and Security maintenance across a number of retail stores.

You will be the first line in all maintenance throughout your allocated sites.

The purpose of this role is to carry out the technical repairs and PPM's. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at ALL times.

All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down company Health and Safety policy.

Key Accountabilities:

??Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures

??Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary

??Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times

??Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance

??Order spares to the laid-down procedures

??Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement

??Ensure the compliance documentation is completed and up to date at all times

??Advise the On-Site customer (Manager) of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the site

??Carry out surveys and complete reports as required

??Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual's technical competence in accordance with current specifications

??Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites

??Always comply with company Health & Safety policy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

??Electrically aware, if not training will be provided

??Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electronic systems and mechanical equipment, CCTV Cameras, DVRS, NVRS and fire alarm systems

??Ideally trained to Fire BS5839 Standards Parts 1 & 5

??Experience with maintenance and repair of analogue CCTV System

??Experience with maintenance and repair of IP CCTV System

??Experience with maintenance and repair of Door Access System

??Ability to work efficiently on your own or as part of a team

??Excellent communicator (both written or verbally)

??Achievement of PPM schedule within agreed timescales

??Full Driving licence and flexible to travel on a daily basis
