Geography being one of the specialised subjects at the secondary school, you will be welcomed by an expanding, successful humanities department; given modern and new facilities and resources to provide the best and effective education, making Geography an exciting subject, you will use relevant resources to entice the KS3 students to learn Geography at GCSE levels.
The role as a Geography NQT:
Your first professional role is always the most exciting??? your NQT year will see you working closely in the humanities department, maintaining the high-success of academic grades. Bringing a fresh, engaging approach to teaching Geography throughout years 7-11, you will experiment with different teaching techniques and methods exploring the different curriculums each year group follow.
As a Geography NQT you will respect the secondary schools high-expectations of behaviour, being able to use personable approach to classroom control and individual behaviour managements to minimalize learning disruption as much as possible.
