Electrical Assembler (no experience required)

As an electrical assembler you will be responsible for building the wiring looms and electrical harnesses that go into the panels of trains. Working from wiring diagrams you will be crimping and plugging connectors, assembling cables, wiring relays and other electrical assemblies.

Attention to detail and a good work ethic is key, you will work as a member of a team be standing up for long periods

This role requires NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE – the key attribute is your attitude and willingness to learn.

Prior to the commencement of your contract you will receive and be required to pass a full training course purposely designed for the duties of this role so do not worry if you have not done them before. The training will consist of a full week in a class room environment on site with our training provider. This will cover various aspects of the role, both practical and theory. Please see below subjects you will cover during the week:

Shift Pattern: The general shift pattern is mornings and afternoons however these are subject to change in line with production requirements

Hourly Pay Rate:

You will be paid the below rates for your first 12 weeks: (PAYE)

Day Shift              £7.83 Mon – Thurs 7:20am - 3:50pm         Fri 7:30am-12:30pm  

Morning Shift    £8.46 Mon – Thurs 6am - 2pm      Fri 6am-11am

Afternoon Shift £9.08 Mon – Thurs 2pm - 10pm   Fri 11am-4pm

After 12 weeks your rates will increase to the below: (PAYE)

Day Shift £8.57 Mon – Thurs 7:20am - 3:50pm Fri 7:30am-12:30pm  

Morning Shift £9.26 Mon – Thurs 6am - 2pm  Fri 6am-11am

Afternoon Shift £9.95 Mon – Thurs 2pm - 10pm  Fri 11am-4pm

Morning Shift  £11.48 Mon – Thurs 6am - 2pm Fri 6am-11am

Afternoon Shift £12.38 Mon – Thurs 2pm - 10pm Fri 11am-4pm

Overtime and weekend rates are also paid when worked

Standard Hours per week: 37
