A great opportunity has arisen for a Test Engineer who will be responsible for implementation of testing of a range of PCBAs and electronic devices with moderate complexity. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are hands on, with a flexible attitude.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Perform and analyse testing of existing and new products within production and engineering environments as directed by the team leader
- Fault finding to component level and repair of PCBAs.
- Design and build basic mechanical and electrical test / production jigs.
- Support definition, implementation and documentation of new test fixtures and processes into the production environment, including training of personnel who will execute those processes.
- Carry out various electrical and mechanical measurements using a mix of standard and dedicated test equipment, taking measurements, logging results and complying with written procedures and instructions.
Essential experience:
- Setting up and conducting tests, recording data and analysing results
- Experience in using basic electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, DMMs, function generators.
- Fault finding and repair of PCBAs
- Perform and analyse testing of products for manufacturing
- Use of basic hand tools and assembly of products
- Use of ATE software
