Our client is the construction and building maintenance arm of a local housing group.  

They’re currently seeking quality plumbing, carpentry and multi-skilled trades people to join their successful and already expanding team.  They’re also willing to consider applications from people who wish to remain self-employed but want to join their approved contractor database.

Typically their Trades Operatives carry out property maintenance or modernisation work including kitchen, bathroom and level access shower conversions.  Or, you’d be responsible for cyclical maintenance and responsive repair works in the properties all to a high standard of workmanship. 

You’ll be capable of carrying out multiple trades including combinations of carpentry, plumbing, tiling and plastering.  You must be educated to City and Guilds, NVQ level 2, or an equivalent level, in at least one trade area. You’ll also be willing to learn and develop other skills and competencies, which we will fully support you in.

Please note, you may be required to participate in the emergency out of hours service, which operates on a rota basis.

* Salary point depending on qualifications and experience. Currently the top of this grade is £33,187 per annum. There is a potential for re-grading based upon performance measured across a range of criteria.
