B3Living is the largest independent housing association in the Borough of Broxbourne, providing over 4,600 homes across Hertfordshire and Essex.  We offer a friendly but professional working environment alongside like-minded people wanting to make a difference in the sector.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Company Secretary to join our team based in Hoddesdon. Within this role, you will support the effective governance arrangements and provide company secretarial support to the Executive Director (Corporate Services).

Working alongside the Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for the preparation of Board, AGM, SGM and Committee agendas and their distribution, and maintain an annual programme of items for the meetings. Maintaining the documentation supporting our governance framework, you will ensure an accurate record of compliance activity.

Further activities will include producing and editing Board reports, undertaking compliance checks with regulatory and good practice codes, writing and updating governance policies and playing an active role in ensuring compliance activities are maintained in other parts of the business.

With previous experience in a Housing association and of working with Boards, ideally, you will have company secretary experience or have a governance background. Knowledge of governance code/ housing association regulatory requirements and stakeholder management is also essential to the role. It is essential that you have excellent minute taking skills, project management experience, strong administrative and IT abilities.
Due to the nature of the role candidates must be available for some early evening Board meetings.
This role is open to flexible working arrangements. We offer a competitive benefits package including generous leave entitlements and a personal pension scheme. We believe in the benefits of diverse workforce and strongly welcome applications from those currently under-represented in the organisation, including LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people, people with disabilities and people from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.

Closing date: Monday 25th March 2019.
Interview date: Thursday 5th April 2019.
