Semi-Senior Accountant in Birmingham

A growing accountancy practice is looking for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their central Birmingham offices. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified and have a strong track record of delivering finance to SMEs. Reporting to the Practice Director, responsibilities will include:

• Accounts preparation, tax computations for various owner-managed SMEs & individuals.

• Advise clients on a day to day basis on any issue or concern they are facing with their accounting records or personal taxation issues.

• Continuous analysis of workflow for own portfolio of clients to ensure assignments are fulfilled within time, quality and budget.

• Preparation of self-assessment returns for individuals including submission to HMRC.

• Review of VAT returns prepared by juniors

• Prepare Management Accounts

• Client record processing

You should ideally have a minimum of 5 years' accountancy practice experience.

Salary is dependent on experience but likely to be within the GBP22-28k range.
