Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for handling existing client relationships within the franchise and prospecting new Institutional investors, to grow revenues and expand the firm’s market share in the fixed income market;
  • Responsible for the sale and marketing of FICC products with special focus on Latin America securities;
  • Manage relationships with clients and identify and explore new business opportunities within your mandate;
  • Ensure effective communication and cordial working relationship with institutional counterparties and internal parties;
  • Frequent contact with BTG Pactual macroeconomics and credit research department and participation in conference calls with different teams in Latin America (in Portuguese, English and Spanish) to evaluate investment decisions, strategies and client recommendations;
  • Responsible for sales comments with macro and company views regarding Latin America region;
  • Key point of contact to handle and maintain CRM, pipeline and activities;
  • Work closely with teams at all levels of the organization worldwide to identify cross-

selling opportunities and leveraging existing expertise.

Skills, qualifications and experience

  • University degree in engineering or economics from a well-respected university;
  • Significant relevant experience in banking leadership, preferably with treasury and structured products, sales and fixed income trading;
  • In-depth understanding of fixed income, equities and derivatives products and understanding of Structuring and Risk management topics;
  • Significant relevant experience on-the-ground presence in Latin America, a deep understanding of the regional markets, local products and relevant macro-economic factors.
  • Ability to balance competing interests, while ensuring good outcomes for the negotiating parties;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and a proven  ability to think strategically;
  • Strong process-management skills, with a hands-on and action-oriented style;
  • Proactive, with a strong entrepreneurial mindset;
  • Strong ability to form and share an opinion;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Exceptional reasoning/analytical ability leading to sound decision-making and judgment;
  • Proficient in Bloomberg, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with strong financial modelling skills;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Portuguese, basic French and Spanish desirable.
