Anaesthesia is the largest single hospital specialty in the NHS. The Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) is the professional body responsible for the specialty throughout the UK, and it ensures the quality of patient care through the maintenance of standards in anaesthesia, critical care and pain medicine. We are currently undergoing a transformation in the way we work with technology to support our Anaesthetists in training. One of the biggest projects delivered so far is the Lifelong Learning platform, and we are looking for a Learning Management System (LMS) Lead & Product Owner to join our busy Training team.

This role oversees the support and guidance provided to internal and external stakeholders, in administering the online systems for maintaining anaesthetic training, revalidation and professional development records. Working closely with external developers and the stakeholders, you will apply Agile (Scrum) methodology and process analysis to review the Lifelong Learning platform and recommend solutions and/or suggestions for improvements.

The ideal candidate for this position will be educated to degree level and/or will have relevant experience in a similar role so will be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of online learner systems, Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall techniques as well as database and user experience design. It would be beneficial if you could evidence experience of working in a helpdesk environment and managing change requests.
