Senior UX Designer - permanent role
We are recruiting a Senior UX Designer to work for our client who are a dynamic online travel retailer. This is an extremely exciting opportunity created due to ongoing investment and ambitious growth plans within this business.
The UX designer is a new senior position responsible for the online UX offered to new and existing customers. We are looking for an expert in Digital B2C UX to help the business service its customers online as it expands its product offering in line with ever changing customer needs and market forces.
The Senior UX Designer will be an excellent communicator with exceptional design skills, someone who is conscientious, embraces change and will go that extra mile to achieve business objectives. The websites are developed and maintained by internal teams.
Responsibilities of the role:
* Provide UX expertise to a cross functional website Product team including Business Analyst, Product Owner, Conversion Rate Optimiser and Developers
* You will help iteratively evolve and improve the UX of the company desktop and mobile solutions as they look to add scalability to their business
* Liaise with internal Marketing stakeholders to guarantee a coherent and brand aligned web site design and user experience
* Designing mobile and desktop UX for ecommerce concepts like product search, online payments, user accounts and post-sale functionality and personalisation
* Using Agile processes: Running design workshops, retrospectives, a fail fast approach, iterative and incremental change
* Conduct user research and testing, utilising data from multivariant testing
* Flexible hours will be required, and some overseas travel
Requirements of the candidate:
* Strong technical design knowledge within Desktop and mobile web technologies like HTML, CSS, Javascript, mock-up tools, user journey modelling tools, design tools
* Expert in UX Design in B2C Digital for a large business that sells experiences
* Experience working within Agile processes
* Used to working within a cross-functional team and making data driven decisions utilising data from MVT Testing
* Excellent leader and influencer
* Strong communication, listening and presentation skills including taking ownership
* Honours degree in Design
* Previously worked in the Travel industry within Hotels, flights, transfers, car hire, travel insurance, Airport hotels, Parking and Lounges as a UX Designer would be a distinct advantage
* Eligibility to work in the UK required
