Test Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to work for a client based in Cambridge. You will test assemblies, diagnosing and repairing any faults (predominantly electronics). The work includes a good deal of interaction with assembly and test staff in a clean room environment and daily contact with engineering staff.Responsibilities:* Diagnosis and repair of all circuitry and printed circuits* Assembly, testing and data analysis of precision manufactured parts for manufacturing and development of all products* QC inspection* Creation of work instructions* Characterisation of faults and improvement ideas to increase yield* Data analysisRequirements:* HNC qualified in Electronic or Electrical and Electronic Engineering or similar* Approximately 3 to 5 years industrial experience preferably gained in a telecommunications and/or Aerospace environment* Ability to test and fix complex electronic circuit boards to component level* Ability to interpret engineering proposals and liaise with other disciplines* Strong practical skills - ideally trained to IPC soldering standard* Good working knowledge of both analogue and digital electronics* Strong verbal and written communication skills and a good team playerYou'll also have good working knowledge of PC based packages, such as Microsoft Office e.g. Word and Excel, be used to working in a busy environment delivering to a high standard of workmanship and able to contribute valuable ideas to improve process times, quality and yield.You will be working in a friendly and informal environment, earn a competitive salary with annual bonus scheme and receive a range of benefits including private health care, non-contributory pension scheme, health shield cash back plan, and cycle to work scheme
