Who will I be working for?   

GK Apprenticeships is recruiting on behalf of Westcon-Comstor, a multi award-winning technology distributor with an international presence.   

They are currently looking for a Technical Sales Apprentice to join them on a 15 month apprenticeship, starting on the 1st July 2019. For advertising purposes this role is known as a Technical Sales Apprentice, internally the role is titled Pre-Sales Apprentice.

What will I be doing?  

As a Technical Sales Apprentice, you will support the sales process by providing technical support for Westcon-Comstor’s products.  

You’ll facilitate the pre-sales process, which is a set of activities carried out before a customer is acquired. This is a vital stage in the customer journey and provides the foundation for the customer’s future relationship with the business.   

Specifically, you’ll learn how to:  

- Generate and provide a bill of materials for colleagues and business partners  
- Help with technical demonstrations  
- Build strong relationships with external contacts  
- Research products from external providers  

What do I need?  

To be considered as a Technical Sales Apprentice, you’ll need:  

- At least five GCSEs at grades A* - C (4 - 9 new system) including English and Maths (or equivalent)   
- A Levels OR be working towards an NVQ Level 3 qualification or higher in an IT/technology related course  
- A strong customer focus  
- Great problem-solving skills
